Have you ever had a 360 savings account with Capital One? If yes, you may get a payout from the settlement, which is from a class action lawsuit filed against the company with allegations of keeping 360 savings account customers at a low interest rate without clearly telling them there was a 360 Performance Savings account with a much higher rate.
The class action lawsuit against Capital One was filed in 2024, and after months of negotiations between the plaintiff and defendant, the company agreed to the settlement of $425 million to benefit the class members, i.e., those who have a 360 savings account with Capital One between the time period of September 18, 2019, and June 16, 2025.
Here, we have disclosed the Capital One 360 savings account settlement payout. Read this article thoroughly to check who will get the payout from the fund of $425 million, how it will be received by you, what you are required to do to get the payment, how much you can expect to receive, when to expect the payout from the settlement fund, and much more.
What to do to get the payment?
To receive the payment from the Capital One 360 savings account settlement, it is mandatory that a class member choose a payment gateway by the deadline. The due date for doing so was October 2, 2025, which has already passed—it means that the class members now can’t elect a payment method.
If you are among those who had a 360 savings account with Capital One during a certain period, and you have missed the deadline to choose a payment gateway to receive the payout, you needn’t be worried. Because you are going to get your portion from the settlement fund via a paper check at your last known address if the payout will be more than $5.
How much will be received?
The refund of $425M is split into two; out of total funds, $300M is going to be distributed among the class members as a one-time payment based on how much interest they have missed out on. And the fund of $125M will go to those class members as additional interest payments who continue to hold their 360 savings account.
The per-person payments are affected by different factors, such as how long they held a 360 Savings account, their balance, and whether they keep the account open or closed by the due date of October 2, 2025. Note that the class members who close their account by the due date are all set to get an extra 15% payment from the fund.

How will the payment be received?
The payment from the Capital One 360 savings account settlement will be received by all class members through the payment method they have chosen. If you haven’t opted for any gateway, you are all set to receive payout via paper check in your mailbox. In the case of electronic payment, you can expect your payment earlier than a paper check.
Note that you will receive payment from this settlement only if you have provided accurate details to get the payout; in case of any error or mistake, you may miss it. Those who haven’t chosen the gateway should know that the paper check will be sent to the last known address if there were any changes—you were required to update it by the due date.
What’s the current status of the settlement?
The settlement of $425 million has received the preliminary approval from the court, and after getting the notice from the settlement administrator with the Claim ID and PIN, class members have already chosen the electronic payment and updated the address to get the payout via paper check, if any, and now all of them are eagerly waiting for the payout.
As the deadline for choosing the payment gateway has passed, now the next big step is hearing for the final—where the court will decide to approve the settlement and initiate the payment process. The final hearing is all set to take place on November 6, 2025, at 11:00 am; if the settlement is approved on this date, the payout will start shortly.
When to expect the payout?
Once the settlement receives the final approval, the settlement payout will begin within 90 days—only if there will be no appeals. In case of any appeal, you may have to wait for months. There is a high speculation that the settlement will be approved without any appeal on November 6, 2025, and payout will begin by February 2026.
